Hey All
I wanted to post a project I've been working on for a few months, and thought you guys would like it.
You might remember I made a Companion Cube for someone special a while ago.
I've known her for quite a while now, a few years to be exact. So I wanted to make something cute to ask her out when she comes down here.
She has a Neo-Geo Pocket Color that she likes to play among many other systems; so I thought I'd go old school and use a NGPC game to ask her out.
I searched online and found a guy who makes Flash Carts for the NGPC called the Flashmasta.
When I checked he was currently out of Flash Carts. After speaking to him and advising him of my project, he was very helpful and made a special cart for me and sent it down.
I had a look online and I sadly couldn't find any instructions on how to do rom hacking for a NGPC. I did find a few tools that said they supported the NGPC for tile manipulation, but no information on how to do it.
I managed to figure it out and changed tiles and the story line of a NGPC game for my purposes.

I used the game called Magical Drop Pocket and changed it to my needs.

Neo Geo Pocket works at the tail end of a relationship too- for some stupid reason I went on a trip with my ex-girlfriend. On the plane on the way back, I was able to stave off insanity from the silence by playing Metal Slug 2 on my NGP. Thank you SNK (",)

A+ on creativity. My experience has been that if a girl wants more than a friendship, she will make it pretty clear. Just sayin'. Once you put it out there you cannot take it back so be prepared for a potential awkward moment if the feelings aren't mutual. Not trying to discourage you but it is what it is. Good luck though.

I'm pretty confident it will work I know her and her tastes pretty well and it's a different situation we have together so I'm not worried about it getting weird.
Yes Jim she knows about the character from my avatar except he's a 4ft tall pervert ninja who isn't a demon so I don't think you know much about the Nin Nin character but anyway I don't idolize him I'm not sure where you got that idea.

Eh, there is a creepy-ass thread at KLOV with some guy posting pics of his GF... it did not go well. I'd be happy with hearing how the asking-out goes. Best of luck!

My personal take, cool project but I would have spelled things out a little clearer in the text. If you're trying to vault out of the friend zone you need a running start.

:cheers: I was just thinking that all threads that involve IRL girls tend to gravitate towards asking for more risque' pics, just like most threads about controller preferences will eventually reference Nazis.
If I had proposed to my wife today (we actually just celebrated 10 years of marriage this weekend!), there probably would have been a rom hack involved. Probably a custom Dr. Mario level.

I had given it to her a few days ago and she was very excited and loved everything about it.
I lent her my ngpc to be able to play it. She loved how much work I put into it, and thought it was so cute and sweet.
She said yes to going out with me and we had a fantastic time. We couldn't be happier together I feel like the luckiest man right now.
I'm glad I could share it with you all and it could be a positive experience for everyone :applaud:

Hey all :)
I know it's been a while since this thread but I just thought I'd give an update to you all.
I am now engaged to the beautiful woman I gave the Love Drop Pocket game to; we will be married hopefully next year ;D
I loved sharing this with you all and even if it was geeky i really enjoyed the whole process of making the hack and becoming her fiance :)
