Title: GBS-8100 VGA to CGA converter stuttering problem
Post by: codecrank on May 24, 2012, 05:54:41 pm
Hi all,

I'm helping a friend upgrade his mame machine. He bought a Gonbes 8100 board to use with with his WG K7000 monitor. ( he upgraded to a newer video card not supported by soft15Khz ) . Everything worked great when it used with a J-PAC + soft15Khz so I know that the monitor is fine.

When I run the video signal ( 640x480@60 ) to an LCD monitor, everything is fine.  But when I move the cable over to the GBS-8100 , there is obviously stuttering / skipping visible when any type of scrolling is going on in a game.

Is this a known problem ? or did I get a defective one ? He purchased it from twistedquarter on ebay.

Thanks !
