Title: Problem with Makvision 24.5 monitor

Can someone help me with a problem here.  I have a HP DC7700 Small profile with the native Video Running Xp.  I used quick res to drop the resolution to 640x480x32 and 640x480x16.  I attach the Monitor and boot up looks great MAME/MALA loaded on it great..
Here is the problem.
Yesterday my nephews were playing the game and intermittently the orientation would switch to vertical then back to horizontal,  this went on for several times.  I Dropped out of mame and when I went back the screen blacked and I heard this rapid click/ like it didn't now what mode to be in.  Thoughts?

could have killed the HOT by feeding the chassis too high res,these are max 31khz-sounds like your graphic card res went too high

Thanks, I got it working.  it was 2 parter first quickres was not loading at startup, 2nd Mala config was set to run 800x600x32 instead of 650x480x16.  Got it working.
