I am using the ISO here http://www.aburamushi.net/calamity/GroovyArcade-Arch2012.03.25-i686.iso (http://www.aburamushi.net/calamity/GroovyArcade-Arch2012.03.25-i686.iso) on my CGA monitor and I installed to the hard drive. X always exits because advmenu is crashing. If I change .xinitrc to start groovymame instead, then no issues and it's beautiful, but no matter what I do advmenu is always giving me an Invalid Instruction error.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks!
P.S. Also, the splash screen only shows on shutdown, not startup. On startup I see the Arch bootscript output. This isn't nearly as important to me, though. I checked and I have splash in my grub menu.lst file.

I've tried a few things and I can't get this to work. I will pin my hope on a newer release. I hear a new ISO will be out soon, so maybe I'll just have to wait for that.

Hi mailman-zero,
Did you try the fixed Advmenu in this post?:

(probably a different issue, anyway)

I did not try the fixed advmenu, but I am downloading GroovyArcade-2012.06.07-i686.iso and will report back on whether it works. Thanks for the hard work put into this project.

Well, I tried the new ISO (2012.06.07) and advmenu still throws an invalid instruction error. I will try to get things running with Mamewah instead, but I prefer advmenu since it's what I've always used and it's the official menu for this project.
