2) Also, do you prefer AMD or nVIDIA? (success rate) - should I get nVIDIA or AMD ? (I hear that AMD is more compatible.)
3) What about drivers? Do new drivers (for AMD or nVIDIA) would work, or do I need to look for older ForceWare (if I get a nVidia) or AMD drivers?
Thanks!
Many thanks in advance!

AMDs seem to be better than nvidias because of the dongle issue (which I never did completely figure out).
Catalyst 6.5 has never let me down with radeon 9200.
A lot of the answers depend on what games you are looking to play.

Thanks for your response. I don't have (or plan to, at least not yet!) to build an arcade system, I will playing emulated games mostly on my personal computer, sitting on my desk. For the monitor, I am using as Commodore 1084S-D1 RGB monitor, and a custom made VGA->RGB cable and the games look amazing. Currently I am using a DELL Dimesion 2400 with the following specs:
Pentium4 2.4Ghz CPU
2GB DDR RAM
nVidia GeForce 6200 PCI (PNY brand)
It is a fairly decent system, but I needed something faster, so today I bought the components for a new custom build system (AMD FX4100 CPU, 8GB DDR3 RAM, ASRock motherboard, and the MSI 4350 video card which I posted earlier), hopefully it will be a faster system.
I will mostly be playing MAME (MAMEUI), SNES, SEGA MEGA DRIVE, AMIGA, etc. Emulations. Most of these are 320x240 resolutions anyway.
Should I install Windows XP, Win7?
Also, where do I download older AMD drivers? Which version is the best to go with my MSI HD 4350 then?
Thanks a lot for your time!
Edit: I just noticed that my motherboard comes with a dual head (VGA and PCI) Radeon HD 4250! I might give it try, before installing my MSI 4350!
