Title: which is better

goin to build another mame cab,just like a bit of advice on a monitor
was goin to get a vga to scart lead and pick up a old tv and try it that way
or is a crt monitor better..?

PC monitor will have about 1000 lines of resolution where the tv has about 300

mame games will look better sometimes on the tv tubes (look more "original") where the high resolution pc monitor doesn't show that "scanlline" look. It would have to be emulated (depending on the monitors of course)

most do. it's a matter of how to get to it that is often the mystery.
