Just a quick question. Can anyone tell me how I can transfer over previous games Hi scores and save points, from an old version of MaLa to a new version. I have everything else working.
-
Does Mala save high scores? :P
I didn't think it did that? I may be wrong but highscores are kept by the emulators themselves not Mala. In MAME for example, the high scores are saved in the "hi" folder on the root level. A high score for PacMan would be found in "pacman.hi" file.
You would just copy over these files to your next build (of MAME).
Correct me if I'm wrong but don't think there is a way for Mala to track high scores directly.

Those are tracked by Mame, not Mala, and stored in folders called Hi and I think, States. You can do whatever you want with Mala and they will still be there. So wade is right, just copy those folders to your new build and they should show up in the games.

My mistake, you two are both right. Thanks for that. ;D Now all I have to do is get my kids off the machine
