In another thread, I am putting together a custome touch screen juke box out of an old pre WWII Radio. Inside the cabinet, I have approximately 19 inches of height to work with and 10-12 inches of depth. Does anyone have any recommendations of a powered speaker system that can be adapted to this space? I ant something like a DJ system or a really really loud PC system that can really fill/boom a room well...
Thanks

So, here are the options I am considering:
1. A Klipsch powered 2.1 (computer) system
2. A Pyle or similar amplifier and a seperate powered sub
3. A auto sound system
My biggest constraint is that the depth of my radio is only 10 inches...

If I was you I would go with the Klipsch powered 2.1 (computer) system although it may be worth looking at the Bose Companion set or if you want to save a bit of cash look at the Logitech selection.
Don't forget about using vibration dampner screws and mounts for your Hard drive if you have the sub and hard drive near each other.

Okay, I picked-up the Klipsch 2.1 set. Has anyone taken apart the speakers? I will likely want to remount them into a custom housing and was wondering if there is any advice on how best to accomplish this as the volume and bass knobs are located on one of the speakers...
