Title: eJukebox Help
Post by: djsting on October 01, 2003, 12:22:33 pm
I have a question about eJukebox (http://www.audiosoft.net/).  I installed it and it went out and grabbed the album cover for many of the CDs in my collection however the problem is that some of them are wrong and some are misssing.  How do I fix this???  I have looked through the program and can not find anywhere that will allow me to change this.

From my experience, I don't think you can change it - for some reason it keeps thinking a lot of my albums are Christina Aguilera albums, and displaying her for a lot of the album art.

Wait, I guess that's not _technically_ a bad thing ;) I have one Christina song in my whole collection.

But I don't know of a fix, sorry.

So can eJukebox retrieve the covers baed on the MP3 file (named during ripping using cddb several years back) so that I don't have to re-scan my CDs to get cover art.

I have got some information from the eJukebox forum.  The album cover artwork can be changed/added from within the eJukebox interface.  This information was provided in this thread I started http://www.audiosoft.net/forums/viewthread.php?tid=435 (http://www.audiosoft.net/forums/viewthread.php?tid=435) in their forum.

To answer another part of your question papaschtroumpf, I'm not sure if it ueses the cddb or not but when I ripped my CDs I used Musicmatch which uses the cddb and some of my album covers came up, however some that did come up are incorrect (being that I was a DJ I have many CDs that were not in the cddb).

It's probably cddb based, the problem is that I have already ripped my CDs and I can't seem to find software that will retrieve the info *after* you ripped the CDs.
So far my best solution is to use Google picture search with the artise name and the album name, it works OK but it's kindof slow going. At least I can choose my picture (some albums came with different covers) and I can make sure it's fine.
