Just ran across this game today and thought I'd share. For as long as I've been in this hobby I've never even heard rumor of this. I am betting this was to be a successor to Moon Patrol. It plays ALOT like it. Was produced by Irem 3 years after MP and is quickly moving up the ranks as one of my favs. Anybody else played or even heard of it?

I know what you mean! I've been dinking around with mame since v.36 and I never saw this before.
Not much out there on the interwebs either. Wish maws was still around. :(

Eh. I think I found and tried this some years ago. It's definitely an '85 game. Graphics and music like an Amiga. Gets points for comedy with the 'mouth' explosion sound effects.

Just tried this and its great fun!
Also just discovered Mad planets after using romlister to sort list down a bit, now that is a addictive game.

Downloaded...can't wait to get it home. MP, Donkey Kong, vs. Exitebike and Bubble Bobble were the whole reasons I built this thing!

I did a mini review over on KLOV when asked about it:
Actually I really like it. I've only played about the first 2.5 - 3 levels but so far its been great! Can't really rate it until I play it more but I can see this getting played alot.
You know how when you first play a game and you get this instant "like" or "comfort" for it? You just kinda connect with it? Thats what I feel with this.
I cant really say its harder or easier than MP either. A challenge, yes, but it's new. Whats cool so far is the depth. Literally. Those 3 "roads" or "lanes" you see on the first 2 snaps are negotiable with your vehicle. You just pull back (down) or push forward (up) on the joy to hop towards you or away in to the hills. The enemies above seem to follow above so you can hit them. What gets fun are dudes on the ground that come in quick. You can avoid them and they will go off the screen to the left making you think they are gone only to reappear behind you a random number of seconds later to whoop up on your ass. It's great!
I recommend it so far. Maybe there is a game killer later on. Hope not!

I agree. MP is probably better. It's got a more nostalgic feel. Music was definitely better in MP.... Still this is pretty cool IMHO.

I played it for a min yesterday. I thought the control was terrible. Really "laggy" and unresposive.
