helloooooo
..ok you have probably heard it before..i have no sound!
Jukebox is a AMI R-90
i have had the ccc repaired, reset ect. along with cpl of other bits a few weeks back.
maybe other problems will arise from laying idle again.
i have a donor jukebox, same model..so all parts have been swopped over to aliminate with no joy.
Amp..Power supply..ect ect..volume is attached..tried 2 seperate volume controls.
i have a hum..and very low sound through speakers..just enough to here words, music..when ear against speaker.
i guess i am at my last resort before i ebay it as spares.. :blah: :applaud:
dont know why the machine went down in the first place and i feel so angry to why this happened..as working fine..left for maybe 2 months while undergoing works on house..
then nothing..error codes and all..just anoying and maybe a real put of for owning such a item personally from cost ect not knowing when that cost will re occur from being sat idle for such a short time. now it seems i go to it..have a quick tinker with no joy..and if honest i really wanna put it on the BBQ..or get a hammer to it..(breath deep)lol
any advice on the sound problem would be apreciated..
I guess i have drawn a blank on the subject..we are limited to what we can do with these things, being myself that is....i guess thats why its a dying hobby in some respects.
The cash from these r getting me a usb turntable..no errors..no faults..cool..
anyhows..
i am open to offers on the 2 jukeboxes..or any advice on value for ebay would be apreciated..i have spent over a £100 on 2 x ccc`s...
i am in warwickshire..mids..

Alan..thanks for your help on the ccc`s in resetting them ect.
i thought your services were super.
if honest i will not send the amp up to you as its such a weight..and postage would be pretty damm expensive to and thro.
the jukebox is nice and my era which caught my eye, but not as valuable as some and i dont justify the cost to point.
also i have two amps and surely not both faulty. like i have two of everything..and i have swopped all around.
i reckon when these go wrong they do go wrong and we have to call it in or never ending on cost..for what its value is.
i cant put any more funds into something so delicate that i may pay out in some months time for laying idle.
i guess its like my old escort mk1 i have in the garage..just gud for spares..

Hello Kevin,
I can understand your stand on not putting anymore money into this with regards to the amp transportation. The Parcel Post price for up to 10KG was around £12.00 now with the price increase it is £18.80 for the same weight.
Have you tried running the amp with the mute plug disconnected?
Have you got the volume control wired correctly? as a test wire up a 10k log control to the three wires that go to the volume control plug (however alter the wires so that wires go into pin 1, 3 & 5. link wire 1 to 5 and take to one end of the 10k log pot on pin 3 take this to the wiper of the pot)
Please let me know how you get on.

Alan
