Title: Maximus Arcade Boot issue
Post by: one8seven on May 02, 2012, 09:36:31 am
Hi guys,

I'm having issues with my Maximus Arcade Frontend.
90% of the times when I boot my cab (OS = winxp) I get the below errors. Already tried to change some settings of Maximus Arcade, video drivers etc., but no luck. I'm using instantsheller to autoboot (could this be the problem?).

Anybody out here who can help me with it or have an idea what (could) cause these errors?

Thanks in advance,

one8seven

IF you dont run the instantsheller does the error still show up? have you tried re-istalling MA or the instasheller?

I already tried reinstalling Maximus Arcade and instantsheller, but same errors occurs.
It runs fine without Instantsheller cause I launch it manually.

Perhaps are there any alternatives for "hiding" your operations system and autoboot a frontend?

were any updates recently installed to the machine or any new software?

Have you tried a system restore back to before the issue was occuring?

How about just running a bootskin and then putting Maximus in the startup folder?

It's a fresh installation, so no updates done.
I also tried QuickSheller and the same error occurs.

What do you mean by "putting Maximus in the startup folder"?

If you create a shortcut to the Maximus exercise file and then drag and drop it into the windows startup folder it will launch upon bootup.   It probably won't completely hide the desktop though.   You might see it for a few seconds.   You can use boosting to put the maximus logo on in place of the windows boot image.

I love fresh installs. Seems to fix everything.
