Title: Need something to put on my front plexiglass
Post by: DEL 707 on May 01, 2012, 01:05:29 pm
My cabinets all up and running but I need to do alot of finish touches

To either side of the screen go 2 bits of wood which help support the plexiglass, from what I can tell, the monitor bezel was actually supposed to go infront of the wood to hide it, but I didn't want the monitor right in my face. What I need is a simple black box running along the edges of the glass to cover up the wood, but I'm not sure how to do it.

Do I need some kind of print, or would maybe paint do a better job?

From looking at the picture is looks as if the plexi is quite some distance from the bezel and monitor.
I suppose that is fine but your right in it does expose those retaining wood blocks.

If it were me - i would paint the wooden blocks and see if that tidies it up a bit.
Or paint the inside of the plexi with a black vertical strip (not sure this will look right as where would the painted frame end?)

Why not lay the plexi against the bezel as the angle itself will hold the plexi in place?
