Title: Arkanoid Spinners
Post by: Aceldamor on September 30, 2003, 12:09:48 pm
Hey everyone...I finally got moved (unfortunatly not into my house) and am getting everything back in order.  I've got some parts to send to folks and got some parts sent to me.

At any rate, I got my hands on 2 Arkanoid spinners for 50 bucks total and was wondering if there was any way to "loosen" them up a bit so they spin a little more freely. I can't post pics of the spinner it's self simply because I haven't found my digital camera yet.  ::)

Anyone offer some assistance?

Maybe a graphite lubricant?

Not really... they aren't designed for that

what your missing is some weight... or mass.

They are made for turning on a dime....  Ones that can spin well are made for spinning one direction for a loong time.

(btw, I'm assuming that it doesn't seem like something is physically wrong... they just arent' tempest spinners)

Check the Buy/Sell/Trade forum for a thread by Oscar about an Arkanoid spinner he reworked. It wasn't that long ago so the thread should be pretty close to the top.
