Title: Anyone running Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition on their cab?
Post by: P-chan on April 27, 2012, 12:04:44 pm

What joysticks/encoders are you using?

Thinking about getting the game but I want to ensure it will work well with my pair of U360s.

I'm running it (but haven't tested it that thoroughly) with 2 U360s.  It definitely works with U360s (mapped as 8-ways).

I'm running SSFIV:AE on my machine using two U360s. I use Joy2Key to make it work properly as my buttons are not using the U360 built-in encoder, but rather an I-PAC. Because of this I have a mix of gamepad/keypad inputs, so I just use Joy2Key to make everything Keypad. Even considering my convoluted setup, the sticks do work fine for the game, including 2 player mode.

Are you using the u360 button encoder?

Everything is through USB, if that's what you mean (i.e., input mode)

FWIW, I am kind of burned out on fighters but SFIV is EXCELLENT, though I have always preferred Soul Calibur and Mortal Kombat to the Street Fighter series.

He probably means are you using the U360 wiring harness, having your buttons connected directly to them, thereby using the U360's built-in encoder... instead of having your buttons connected to another encoder, like an I-PAC.

Been playing it on my PC with my ZD rematch and a Sanwa JLF as a fight stick. Even with the Sanwa I still suck at the game, but I can't blame the controls anymore.  :lol
