Title: frontend is in startup but I see the desktop

I put my Mala shortcut in the startup folder and it starts up ok, but before I'm in the program I see the desktop for about 10 seconds. Is there a way where I don't have to see the desktop at all?

If you are using XP you can replace explorer with your FE.   See the wikki for hiding windows.
