Title: Neo Geo 1st time boot - wierd screen
Post by: b3dr0ck on April 23, 2012, 01:25:58 am
So ... continuing on this project - thanks for everyone's help so far

I've got the AC straight, the 5V and the 12V at the Jamma connector are good.

I connect a monitor, I turn on power and I get this screen.  It flashes back and forth.  I took 2 pics so you could see it, sorta.

I plugged another Jamma board in, and the video on it seemed OK.  Any ideas?

Clearly the monitor is good. Maybe reseat the chips on the board.

Channelmaniac's repair logs are a good place to start -- here is the link to his NeoGeo logs:

1. Does the motherboard BIOS match the cart's region?
2. Take a q-tip and rubbing alcohol and remove any dirt from the connectors on both cart and motherboard.
