Title: mala loses sound after screen saver videos play

Every time the screen saver videos come on, and I go back to playing games, there is no sound.  I have to shut off mala and restart then the sound is back.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

What no fixes yet, it's been over 5 minutes since I first posted this question. ;D

--well I just fixed it to my satisfaction.  Under screen saver configuration I unchecked "disable video sound" option.  Now the videos play sound, and when I go back to Mala the games still have sound.

Now, with screen saver enabled my computer (mala??) freezes.  I have to shut down pc to get it going again.

I had such kind of problem. No sound in games after going back to menu. My computer / Mala ? did not freeze, though,  so the fix is perhaps irrelevant for you. Fixed my problem by installing the latest version of Mala

It use to loose sound after videos, but lately it freezes.  I read another post that mentioned video card over heating.  I have no venting for my computer and it is in a tight location.  I will add venting soon. 
I am running mala version:  1.74,  are you suggesting to use the Beta version 1.745?

Yeah, the beta version. Usually I stay clear from betas, but I tried it, you can always revert to the previous if it does not work
For me, it did. Boy I was fed up to reset the sound all the time  :banghead:

Hope it works for you, too. Read on another forum someone having this sound prob and suggesting to try the beta. Worked for the guy, too.

As soon as my son is done playing snes, I'll update Mala.  I'll give an update after I determine if the update fixed issue.

Seems good after the update to the Beta version of Mala.  I just replaced the  mala.exe file.
