Oh man--  I would have jumped at that Spy Hunter, but I've been working a virtual pin.

How did you handle gas/brake/shift? Did you use your other mods in conjunction with that?

Hmm.....maybe I'll still bite.... :afro:

My driving cabinet had multiple shifters (Hi/Low, Forward/Reverse, 3-way with turbo and 4-way shifters) so I could play any type game with the correct shifter.  I also wired up a gas/brake pedal assembly (being sold in this thread as well).  If you need a hacked Dual strike controller for the gas/brake assembly I could add one in for a little bit more in price.

BTW: This is one of the best looking Spy Hunter steering assemblies I have seen in a long time.  Very clean and works great.  I added new springs to it when I first got it.  The springs are still like new of course.

Yes, I will try to give you a quote tomorrow for the item "unpacked".  This will give you are very good estimate of what the cost would be.  If you end up wanting it shipped then I would assume the additional weight of packaging would be negliable and would bump the price only slightly at best.  Sound good?

great deals for these Hagstrom encoders.   Allow you to map many multiple key presses (including ALT, CTRL, etc...) into one button press.    You will now be able to emulate any emulator's default key mappings without having to remap their defaults.

Sega HangOn motorcycle steering assembly and the red back cover of the Indy 500 racing seat have been sold.

If anyone needs any remaining parts from the arcade racing seat let me know.  The blue main seat with the adjustable slides (front/back) are still available.

[EDIT]Pictures have been updated in the original post

I decided to reduce the size of the Arcade racing seat by removing the huge base and simply offer the Blue Fiberglass seat with adjustment sliders.   Please check out the new photos posted above.

This is truly a very nice arcade adjustable seat which works perfectly.   Very low price as well.

2 questions, can you wire the remaining pedals so they work the other way, and how hard is it to replace / hack these into a logitech wheel? (see my racing cab thread)

What does "way" mean?   Are you perhaps referring to "single-axis" wiring or "dual-axis" wiring?  Are you requesting me to rewire the pedals before shipping them out or are you using the the term "you" generally.

Quote

Never saw a logitech wheel, however, these pedals are nice sturdy pedals which come with two pots (one for brake one for gas) and connecting wires to them is not hard.  It has been many years since I wired these originally.

Oh yeah, should have noticed that.    I looked through the progress of your racing cab and it looks great.

As for your logitech wheel question ....  if the logitech wheel uses two 5K pots then I believe you could just connect the wires from the logitech pots to the gas/brake pedal assembly instead and everything should work. I am no expert, but seems reasonable to me.  This is how I connected the gas/brake pedal assembly to a Microsoft USB Dual Strike controller originally.

if you (uncleT) rewire it for dual axis
My one remaining Virtua racing gas/pedal assembly is currently wired for single-axis.  Are you sure you want a dual-axis configuration as I thought most games in Mame were for single-axis play only?

If you do want a dual-axis wired configuration then simply snip the wire currently connecting the two POTs together (see photo below) and then connect each set of 3 wires coming from each POT to the associated POT on the logitech controller.

Keeping the assembly wired a single-axis will allow you to test the single-axis functionality out before "you" decide to snip the wire to convert it to dual-axis  ;D

12-5/8" width x 11-3/8" depth.   The assembly is very nice, sturdy and heavy-duty.  Works great.

The KE72 is a very good encoder.  It predates the more modern MAME targeted encoders but works just as well.  It also has a lot more screwdown terminals than the more modern controllers.

I have a self contained MAME CP that uses one and it's great.
