Title: WTB: used ArcadeVGA - AGP style (Osceola, WI)
Post by: smalltownguy on April 20, 2012, 03:54:43 pm
Looking for a used AGP version ArcadeVGA to assist in a stealth MAME project I'm setting up in a Dig Dug cab. Got an old card laying around? Shoot me a price shipped to 54020.

Thanks!

As an alternative you could look at soft15khz or power strip or something like that especially since you are looking at AGP. Most ATI if not all ATI agp cards should be pretty plug and play with soft15khz. Lots of money to be saved1

Thanks for the tip - I really want the card, since it outputs to 15khz natively. Soft 15 doesn't kick in until Windows loads the drivers for it.

Kinda puts a damper on my custom bios image :(

This is true however if you run it in conjunction with a JPAC a JPAC will split the 31khz resolution into 2 readable images. Its not as good as getting to go through your bios and stuff like that but for me its always been enough. If its important to you then that would make it well worth the extra money id think.

It seems like you are well informed so best of luck on your hunt!

Thanks. The cab will get custom wiring, so I'm not really in need of a Jpac. Plus, that adds additional expense that doesn't really solve the issue.

I have been contacted by a few folks on cards available in the $80-$100 range. I'm hoping to get something for less than $40.
