Title: Rowe CD100I problem

Greetings to all,
I'm having a serious problem with my Rowe CD100I and I'm hoping someone can help shed some light before I spend anymore money replacing parts.  The problem I'm having is the machine is selecting the CD 1 disk after my selection ( select CD #1 and the machine plays CD #3).  I don't have any error codes to go by and I've followed the manual.  I've replaced the optical switch, sprang gear, CCC battery, and recently the mech control board.  I performed all the required adjustments after each replacement (optical switch, sprang, and magazine alignment).  After each optical switch alignment the machine will work all day long without a hitch.  As soon as I turn the power off and let it sit for a while it will revert back to selecting the disk immediately following the selection. One odd thing I've noticed is that once its reverted back to selecting the next disk, if I depress the solenoid plunger and rotate the disc magazine back one CD, the machine will then start picking the correct Cd's until it is turned off again.  After that I have to start all over again. 
Any ideas would be great!

Hi,

Have you cleaned the gear that the opto switch reads?

I just looked at the gear and it looks spotless.  I wiped it down anyway, realigned the optical sensor and still have the same problem.

Hi,

Have you tried another CCC in the jukebox as a test?
You say you have replaced the opto switch, is it the correct type with the red molex plug?

Have you tested the battery voltage on the rear of the CCC pcb to make sure you have a good connection.

I have found that the loom between the mechanism control and the CCC gives problems, check this for continuity but more important check each connection by removing it from the molex plug and open it up to give more pressure on the connection. I have had to do this to two sets of looms this week (one had a corroded connection andthe other was weak connections).

I think I'll take your advice and order a replacment CCC.  I'll update as things progress...THanks!
