is that a front end like hyperspin that will allow me to fire up a ps1 game without having to mount the iso first? I happened to come across a US set of ps1 games and i would like to have multiple games but dont want to mount an image everytime i want to change games or have a bunch of virtual drives on my pc. any help would be greatly appreciated.

That sounds like an emulator issue to me, not a FE one.
Demon tools allows you to mount/unmount images via the command line btw.

its not so much an issue, its just i dont want to mount and unmount when i change a game in epsxe. I would like something that would just show a menu of all the ps1 games on my hard drive and would fire it up, like how hyperspin does it for just about every emulator.

I think all my ps1 images are bin/cue and whichever playstation emulator I use runs them directly without mounting the image. I think mine *is* ePSXe? Not sure, I haven't messed with it for a while. But, if you familiarize yourself with the autohotkey stuff you can have it mount and unmount the images for you automatically, you'll never notice it. Go to the hyperspin page and check out some of the ahk modules there, Saturn stuff for example.
Daemon tools lite works great.

Then I suggest you learn how to use your FE. It seems like all the hyperspin users just want things handed to them. Sometimes you need to setup a particular emulator manually. This goes not just for HS, but EVERY front end. By pointing out that deamon tools had command line options I was saying that you should be able to configure your FE of choice to mount/unmount the games as you play them. As mysterioii said though, most psx emulators will load images directly anyway.
