Hey guys, first post, and thanks for allowing me to join the forum.
I'm well on my way to creating my MAME machine, but I have one last hurdle to overcome before I start building the cabinet:
I'm using a typical CRT TV as my monitor (only thing special about it is that it's a "flat" CRT TV). I've already taken it out of its case (the cursed speakers were on the sides, so it would have made the cabinet too big for my door) and built it a new wooden housing, so access isn't a problem.
My last hurdle is extending the TVs power button, so I can turn it on from the side of the cabinet (using an arcade button w/ a micro-switch).
I looked through the forums, but I wasn't able to find anything useful. I would very much appreciate any help you could offer. Thanks! :)

I did some tinkering and was able to solder wire to the bottom of the TV's board at the power buttons connections. Unbelievably, it actually worked! :)
