I replaced the chassis in a Terminator 2 with a Wei Ya 825 HR04 but I forgot (rushing) to increase the horizontal resistance as instructed by the supplier (it was 0.8 ohms). I had used one of these chassis in a Suzuka 8 Hour with no issue. This time though it blew the HOT and line fuze (3A, not 2A shown on HR 02 schematic). Substuted HOT with 60W light bulb to verify B+ present and it was but I don't know how bright it should be. It had 114.5V across it. Replaced the HOT with 2SC5296, it fried again along with the fuze and I found Q801 (B+ regulator I think) also short. For a quick check I replaced it with 2SC5296. HOT blew again, so did 140 ohm 25W resistor across Q801. It did get HV briefly that time as I got a pop when I discharged the anode cap. Any suggestions? Anyone got a schematic of 825 HR04? Anyone know where to get a 25W 140 ohm resistor?

what was the original chassis?

Original was a Pentranics 1425 which I have now gone back to trying to fix but I don't have a good schematic. The diagram I'm using is "CH 288 chassis family" from Rick Nieman but there seems to be some differences. On this chassis I have a short from B+ to chassis but it looks like the B+ test point goes to the secondary of the SM transformer and one end of that winding is going to chassis. Am I measuring a short through the transformer? However, the schematic shows B+ coming through a capacitor and resistor with a diode in parallel so according to the schematic I should not be measuring the winding. Confusing!
