Title: best 4/8 way joystick to replace x-arcade joysticks

I'm looking to replace my x-arcade joysticks. What are the best 4/8 way switchable joysticks to get?


i was thinking of getting ball top sticks so i was jsut curious to poeple opinons on ball top?

I'm about to order a couple of the Magstik Plus's from Ultimarc, apparently they're the only one available that's switchable from the top without a knob or a slide or anything?  At least that's what it says on their site.

I have IL Eurosticks in mine right now but i was actually looking at Magstik Plus's  as well but am curious if they are better or worst for 8 way

I also have Eurosticks in my x-arcade and I really like them.  I purchased a Mag-stick plus for another project that I am about to start -- just be aware that the Mag-stick plus has a very short throw compared to the Eurosticks. 

I'm not saying its bad, just saying that it is a different feel.

I have not (yet) used the Mag-stick extensively -- I am sure there are others here who have used both extensively and can comment.
