Just got my Parts Express email and noticed this amp (http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=320-300) for $39. If/when I do another jukebox, or even a cab, I'm going to give this amp some serious consideration.

There's a lot of great stuff in Parts Express that i'd like to use on future builds. If i didn't have an extra 4 channel car amp sitting around I would have purchased that amp. It looks quite interesting. I was looking into using a few of those for a whole house audio system.

Very cool! I'm sure I would be happy with 100w for a cabinet, but is a 100w amp considered enough for a home jukebox? No matter what, I can't argue with the price.
-
I think that would probably be more than enough. My first juke used this Insignia amp (http://"http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Insignia%26%23153%3B+-+200W+2.0+Channel+Stereo+Receiver/9693507.p?id=1218151628383&skuId=9693507&st=9245836%209693507%202838391%203720709%203726066%204550834&cp=1&lp=1") which is 100w x 2 and you could hear it down the street it was so loud. That amp + the 24v 350w power supply they sell and I think it would be overkill for a home jukebox. I think i'm going to pickup those two to play around with since i'm about to start 2 more juke projects. Any recommendations on 4ohm speakers from Parts Express?

I haven't any recommendations from P.E., but I use these (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007L8BVM/ref=oh_o05_s00_i00_details) in my Rat Rod juke. I'm no audiophile but I also don't like crap. For a juke I really like their sound and they kick out some serious DB in my setup (see my .sig for a link).

Just curious, did you do anything special with the harddrive in that juke to prevent vibrations from those speakers from trashing it?

Not that I recall, no. There's actually two drives in there too. One for the OS the other for the MP3s. They are mounted on the backside of the brace that holds the ELO in place in a standard drive cage, no rubber or anything.

So on the backside of this:

is where they are mounted up high:

Looking closer at that last pic it appears the drive cage is slightly elevated from the MDF, so perhaps I slipped in some rubber washers, but I honestly can't remember :banghead:

Those old Rockford amps are incredible and hard to find for less than an arm and a leg. I am amazed that those Pyle speakers have handled the power.

Scored mine off CL for $35 :D
The Pyles are rated RMS 150W (300W peak) and the amp puts out 100W/channel so I am well within the safe zone.
