Hi,
I have a problem with the installation of Groovy Arcade Linux 32bit.
I don't have any display of the installation. (the lcd pop up an error of display)
Does everything is in 15khz, even the installation menu?
-
Did you select the right option at boot menu?
-
In fact, I was even not able to choose anything, straith to black screen.
But I found where was the problem. Iso to USB pen was not working correctly.
So I just burned on a CD and it worked

Report that issue to ves (eventually with other marginal info).

In order to boot as live from a usb disk you need to download the right GroovyUSB... file and unzip it over the root directory of the usb disk where you have burnt the iso:

Also, you have to rename the pendrive as GROOVY.

@Calamity: what about (you and/or ves) make a thread with a specific (and accurate) guide on how to make a bootable groovyarcade usb stick?

Yes, I had that in mind, but first I need to figure out how to fix my usb installation :)
There are two different possibilities:
- Burn the live-cd to an usb pendrive (you need an specific program to burn the iso and the files I mentioned above).
- Install GroovyArcade to an usb pendrive. This is the cool way.
I got the installation to usb working with the gentoo based cd but I'm having problems now with the Arch-Linux build. Basically I'm getting an error on boot "unable to find root device ...". I've tried by changing the grub line from "root=/dev/disk/by-label/GA" to any combination of /dev/sdX but can't get it working. I don't know if it might have something to do with this (bottom of the page):

Ok, this (https://www.slacky.eu/wikislack/index.php?title=Slackware_su_pennina_USB) could help (even if it was written for slackware).
The main problem is that it's written in italian language.

Hello, the problem is missing a hook to generate the kernel, is fixed in the next version, while you can use these files.
Remember only when installed in a pendrive.
File name: kernel para usb.rar File size: 19.22 MB (http://www.fileserve.com/file/5VD5pKx)

Thanks Ves, those files fixed my pendrive installation.
I've used this great tool to access the pendrive Ext3 filesystem from Windows: http://www.fs-driver.org/ (http://www.fs-driver.org/)
