I am trying my first pinball restoration. I got a hold of a Motordome in seemingly decent shape for $100. The guy I got it from said that sometimes when he turned it on, it needed to warm up for a few minutes before it would work. When we turned it on at his house, 6 lights came on and stayed on with nothing else. When I plugged it in at home, it looked like everything was working perfectly except the start button. I was able to add credits, enter test mode, and see all the lights and high scores in the normal mode. With the machine on, I lifted up the play field, looked at the start button, and then replaced the field to go fetch a tool. When I came back, I lifted the play field again and the machine just turned off. There was no pop or the sound of anything breaking, it just turned off, and now I can't get it to turn back on. It's probably something simple to fix, but I didn't want to poke my head back in there without getting some advice first. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might try next?
Thanks

Okay, so I got it working again, it was just a blown fuse. I fixed five or six other problems I found and cleaned everything off. I still have some questions though. About 10 of the lights don't work. It's not the bulbs, it seems to me that the resistors before the bulbs are burned out. Is this a common thing? Also, the sound works, but it is very quiet. Maybe the pot burned out? I can adjust the volume, it just doesn't get louder than whisper levels. Is there a way to short out the pot and hear the cabinet all full volume to see if that is the problem? Also, the florescent light behind the back glass is constantly flashing, even in test mode. I'm not sure if that is by design or not.
