Title: heavy barrel cab for sale
Post by: harmonicaman on September 26, 2003, 07:52:45 pm
howdy fellas, i have here a fully compatible data east jamma cab, four buttons, and in good shape, the vynl is coming off of the sides in a couple of places, but other than that it's fully working, and it has two brand new hap controls rotary sticks, the monitor can be rotated; i just don't wanna do it, and you can set it up for mvs play if you want. it comes with a fully working coin slot, original papers, and it shouldn't be too hard to license if you wanna make people pay to play. now this cab comes with the following games: heavy barrel(w/ marquee, and bezel) gondomania (w/ marquee and bezel), and bermuda triangle (no marquee or bezel) this would be a great cab for anyone looking for those classic games or someone who wants an mvs setup sometime in the future. it'd make a good mvs, and it needs a good home. i've redone the controllers, and cleaned the thing up a bit. and now it's up to yous guys. i'll let this thing go for $200, or for a 1-slot mvs supergun that would normally go for the same price, or a set of 12 hohner special 20 harmonicas.  i can't ship it, as i don't really know how. so if you want it here it is come and get it. i think it's a deal for such a good condition cab (it was made in 87 and it's still in great shape) so come on down here, drop the cash or the sg and it's yours, and if you don't live to far from me i'll help you set it up. just make sure you have a truck before you make the trek.

and if you want references, ask around here for em. check out my username at gametz.com it's kim_kaphwan98, or check out my ebay name: waveschoch.
come on down to Austin, Texas; and get yourself a cab.

might help if you let people know you're in ausin, tx. ;)

The game really needs the original SNNK joysticks for heavy barrel..the small ones you have would cramp your hands after 20 minutes of play IMO...  did you have any issues with them?

when i got it the cab had those little yellow ones, but they were all old and decrepit, hell the little pcb they were on was cracked, so they hardly worked at all, i hunted down some of the happ ones, and put them in instead they feel a lot better too.

If the joysticks are new, then why does one of them have rust on it?

you know i never knew why, i ordered them from happ controls and it came that way, i assume they had a bunch of those sticks somewhere in a place that wasn't climate controlled, moisture in the air, i dunno, but it works; i'll get at it with some rust remover if you want.

No need to do that. I am not interested. It is a nice looking game, and I am sure you will find a buyer, but it is also a game that can be had at any auction for $75 to $125 (albeit not with new sticks or extra boardsets).

yeah so if it would cost $175 most places plus 2 boardsets, and new controls it should cost about $200 if not more, so it should be sold by now. someone buy this damn thing, i'm out of space, and this massive refrigerator sized menace is the first to go.

I listed it in the newsgroup for you and pointed it back to this thread. Unfortunately you did not seem to actually include your email anywhere, so that might make it harder for people to contact you.

Hey, I just read the msg on the newsgroups, I must have missed that you actually had a Bermuda Triangle board..

I don't have any interest in the whole shee-bang (too bad since I'm in Houston, too :/.. just too expensive), but I am casually looking for that board for a future project.. want to sell it separate for a fair price (say $25 or 30)?  It's just the board, right, no supplies?  I'd go higher with a marquee or bezel..

Thanks (even if not).

12 Special 20's eh?

Tell me, do you ever have troubles with the 5th hole on the spcl 20 "G" harp. I've owned 3 over the years and each of them have only lasted about a month.

Whoops!  Sorry.  I don't often check these forums when I'm not at work :P

E-mailed you about the board.

Just 1 more to go (TNK III) for a complete SNK LS-30 set after this (not counting conversion supplies).  Cool :D

Man, $200 is really a good deal.. someone will buy it for that, but I can't afford it right now (just bought another game, a total turd of a Centipede for its 'kit' for $200).

hmm, are you trying to bend your five holes when you play them? that would do it, the five holes are not menat to be bent on any harp, i've killed several marine bands that way in a matter of weeks, the reeds on the five hole cannot be bent, and if you try it all you'll do is damage them. the special 20 is one of my favorite harps, and i've owned a few over the years, but i always go back to the marine bands. but i need a set of 12 harps as my band is starting to get more gigs, and i need a harp that's good quality, that wont bust mid play, thus the special 20. you should check your technique first, before you go dissing the harps.

and for anyone who wants to get the set of harmonicas and trade that for the cab go here:

Just to update, I'll send the MO for Bermuda Triangle after I get off work this morning or on Monday morning.  Sorry for the delay, I didn't get around to it yesterday.

well the cab is sold, to a buyer in oklahoma, unless anyone wants to offer more than the $200 base price.
