I received the stick from Bob Roberts with mounting plate and hardware. What am I supposed to do?
Cut a hole the size of the joystick square at the top of the joystick? I'm using 3/4" MDF. The Ultimarc joysticks I bought I just cut a small circle in the CP.
Thanks.

Correct...
The joystick itself will be sitting in a hole in your CP, and the mounting plate will cover the hole & hold the joystick in place. Just cut the hole as close to the size of the joystick as possible.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I can mount the plate vertically, correct? I'm done with my 2 player CP, but it's history. It won't fit horizontally. I'm working on a 4 player now. I just want to get this stick in temporarily. Looks aren't a big priority right now.
Another thing that I don't understand, Real Bob sent me these black screws with no slot or phillips, and that little square thing under the head so that you can just tighten the nut. But they don't lock in anywhere. ?

yup...
You can mount it however it looks right to you. (Although if you mount it at a funky angle it might be a bit confusing... LOL)
They sound like carriage bolts... If none of the holes are square, then you can usually tighten them just by holding a finger on the bolt head while you tighten the nut. Just give it a shot & you'll see what I mean.

Thanks again. If I screw this cutting up, then the looks really won't be important. I'll have a square cup holder smack dab in the middle of my CP.

If you have trouble tightening them you can use a split washer as a lock, works well.
