I was going to give a very enthusiastic report about the inexpensive non-toxic spray treatment someone recommended, which did the trick in one shot. But all trace of the thread seems to have disappeared. I can't even find anything saying it was moved to Post Hell.
-
It's there, in PH... >:D
-
I see. I suppose I must have missed something. Still, does not that usually leave single-post thread saying, "This topic has been moved to Post Hell."?
-
I think the vitriol was getting so rich that the powers that be thought better to wipe the entire "discussion" from the history books. This is pure speculation on my part.
-
No, it has to do with how the thread is removed. If I do it from the topic list, it just disappears. If I do it from within the thread itself, it leaves the nice little notice of where it went.

Asso. You can sticky stuff too right? Once I get the voting polls for 2011 UCAs ready to post can you sticky the them if I shoot you a PM with der links?

That's interesting. Why would you ever remove a thread from the topic list? I suppose you must be viewing the posts of the thread to come to the conclusion that it ought be moved to Post Hell. And the nice little notice of where it went is very useful. It seems to me that removing it from the topic list takes an extra step and produces an inferior result.

I was unaware of the difference until recently.
I can trim the hate out and bring your thread back if you want...

That'd be a pretty big haircut.

As you like. I'm certainly very grateful for the product recommendation. I think it dramatically reduced for me the nightmare that a lice infestation can be. So the thread is potentially useful, at least for that. I don't remember anything particularly nasty. There was a bit where Ark said absurd things, but nobody listens to him anyway, lol. I wonder if it took a turn for the worse and then disappeared before I had a chance to see the really bad stuff (it's equally likely that I just have a very high tolerance for "really bad").
At any rate, if it's a lot of trouble don't worry about it. You've gotta make judgment calls about what goes and stays and you can't be bothered to second guess yourself all the time. If it can be restored very easily, I'd be happy for it. If it would require a bunch of time-consuming incisions and sutures, don't bother. Easy come easy go.

Shmokes, why don't you mention the product here? Anyone who ever does a search can find it.
My 2¢

Original thread back, and cleaned up.

Haven't you people seen Event Horizon! Don't visit that thread man, you don't know what it brought back from hell, you just don't know.

Honestly, I'm reluctant to resurrect a topic that has already been sent to Post Hell (I didn't know this one had . . . it seemed to simply not exist any longer). Starting a new topic to replace one that already degraded into Post Hell fodder seems peevish and insolent to me. I figure I should reserve behavior like that for a topic I truly care about. Gotta choose your battles and all that rot . . .
-
How the hell did a topic about lice end up in PH? I remember people talking about shaving heads etc, but thats all... :dunno
-
Idiocy is the short answer. Ark_ader is the slightly longer one.

yup

yup
And here I thought it was going to start with Idiocy and end with something that started with a X...

You are a good teacher, Shmokes.
Seriously I made a few good points, sad to see the new moderator is biased. ::)
Back to PC topics I guess...

You misunderstand. The topic was resurrected. I don't think there was ever a problem with the topic.

Ditto. Sorry to see that flew passed your head. Thankfully it doesn't happen all the time. :P
