Title: Wei-ya 825HR4 width cap.
Post by: RejectedManiac on March 03, 2012, 02:34:05 am
Hey guys I'm having some trouble with horizontal width on my 825HR4 chassis. I have turned the remote board horizontal all the way down and it is still hanging over the edges and width coil is not adjustable. I was told to try and change out the width cap until I get it where I want it in steps up and down. The spot it seems that would need changed is c908 on my chassis. There was clearly something there before but he put in a different cap before he sent it to me. I can't find out what kind of cap this is though. It says
f204k k
400mph1 on the cap I'm not sure what the voltage or anything would be for this cap to step it up or down.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

remove it and post a photo,i would expect it to a polypropelene cap-possible 400v 200kohms but can't be sure

Alright thanks a lot! I'll get it first thing in the morning as I have just came back from the hospital  :'( But c908 actually is what you are talking about and is right next to the jumper for narrow. You can tell he replaced caps right next to narrow and wide but reading those numbers I'm not sure exactly what values they are or if that's the cap that should be replaced.

Thanks for taking the time to try and help me. I really appreciate it  :applaud:

Per the schematic for that chassis C908 is "0.24k 400V PPN"

I attached the schematic for it to my post.  If you figure out what value to change it to to fit a 25" screen horizontally PLEASE SHARE. I've got the same chassis and same problem on another one of my machines but figured "it works for the time being I dont want to muck it up".  If you report back how to fix it I'll totally do the same thing!

Ya I don't want to mess mine up either though. lol If this chassis is gone I am really screwed without any chassis. Are we sure that c908 is the one? If so I will step it up or down a value and go from there. I'm not sure if that schematic is updated with mine though. Sory I wasn't around for the pics today. I was in ICU with my girls grandfather all day.

Here are the pics of my chassis.

I see no pics?

As far as if this is the width cap... I've no idea. I see an N/W switch to the right of the cap on the schematic, but I am in no way knowledgeable enough to say yes/no.

I have no idea either. Images have been fixed. Thanks for letting me know. Ok so if there was a .24 cap in there now it's a .20 cap now it seems. I can't even find .24 400v caps on ebay to take a look.

Ordered some .22 400v caps from china. and confirming that the .27 caps I seen are metalized polypropylene.
