Hey guys,
I just recently started playing around with psxfin, I read up on how the cue and bin files work but I keep running into a problem.
I can run a game with a single cue and bin files.(by loading the cue file)
But when I try to run a game with the cue and multiple bin files I always get an error saying CD not usable Failed to open file.
I check the cue file and the names/paths are all correct.
I can however play these games by loading one of the bin files instead of the cue file.
Is this a normal thing or should the cue file be taking care of everything.
The reason I ask is because I have hyperspin setup to look only for the cue files.
Here is an example.
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX
These are the file names-
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX - Maximum Remix (USA) - cue
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX - Maximum Remix (USA) (Track 1) - bin
Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX - Maximum Remix (USA) (Track 2) - bin
This is what the cue file has-
FILE "Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX - Maximum Remix (USA) (Track 1).bin" BINARY
TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
INDEX 01 00:00:00
FILE "Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX - Maximum Remix (USA) (Track 2).bin" BINARY
TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 00 00:00:00
INDEX 01 00:02:00
When I load the cue file I get the error message.
But the gamewill work if i load the track one bin file.
Does anyone know a fix tho this? I haven't been mounting anything just loading the cues from the psxfin menu.
Thanks

Never mind I just figured it out.
Burned the cue using Alcohol 120. Then ripped it using IMGburn to a single bin and it works. :applaud:

I was going to suggest mounting the image then reripping, your way works but my way doesnt waste a cd :p
