Came across these, never seen them before.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3244075225&category=13718 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3244075225&category=13718)
Has anyone tried them. Are they any good? I have a feeling the answer will be no.
Thanks,
K-nuttz

Those are seimitsu's. From what I remember reading, they are similar to the J-Sticks except you have to unscrew and reposition the plate on the bottom to switch from 4 to 8 way.
A board search on seimitsu will give you more info.
Forgot I did a search previously:

The only thing I see that could be a concern for some people are the non-US standard mounting hole pattern. These are made to go into Japanese arcade machines.
This is not a problem with new control panel construction as you'll be able to drill the holes in the proper place. But if you want to replace some joysticks with these then you'll have to make new holes and fix the old holes.
Cheers.

I use these sticks in my panel, and I love them!
They are made for metal panels, so if you want to mount them in 3/4" or thicker wood panels, you will have to get out the router!
What I did was route out a square area for the base all the way through the wood, and then routed out a 1/16" deep area on the TOP for the metal plate. Then, I put my control panel overlay over top of that to hide the metal plate & mounting bolts.
FWIW, I have dealt with that eBay seller in the past, and he is very good to deal with...he ships stuff out the day he receives payment. Very quick!
Hope this helps you out!

I've got a very similar joystick, same make (Seimitsu) but slightly different model.
They are very similar to the Sanwa joysticks sold by ultimarc. They don't feel quite as good IHMO because they are fitted with weaker springs however the difference in marginal. However I think they work slightly better as 4-way joysticks because unlike the Sanwa sticks you're not increasing the throw in 4-way mode.
As this is a dutch auction I doubt whether the price will go much above the $8.95 minimum bid. That's a pretty good price IMHO.

I agree that the price is great. The fact that they are not standard size is fine. Does anyone know if the handle can be replaced with a bat style shaft such as the one on the happ supers.

The ball tops can be unscrewed and they are interchangeable with the Sanwa ball tops.
As Sanwa joysticks can be supplied with bat tops I guess the answer to your question is yes. However I've no idea how you would get hold of a Sanwa bat handle without having to but a complete Sanwa joystick.

I contacted the seller and he claims they can fit wood control panels.
