I am assuming that I cant ask for any help on getting a Rom to work on these boards?

You can.  You can't ask about obtaining roms illegally though.

Having problem with the Beatmania final program.  I have the CHD's, its in a seperate folder named the same as the zip file....but still no good....

Any ideas?

there should only be one chd.... it's named "c01jaa11.chd"

You did extract the rars/zips/whatever into the folder you created right?  Because chds can't be zipped up... they are simply too large to decompress on the fly.


If that isn't the problem try typing "mame.exe bmfinal -verifyroms" and see what it tells you.

The CHD is not zipped.  I did the verify roms thing and i says I am missing something.

When I check the zip rom folder, it shows 1xxx. etc.... up to around 15 (not at home right now).  But there are ton in the middle I might be missing (4/5/6/7).... not sure exactly what I am missing. 

Is the best bet to see what Verifyroms says I am missing, try to find just that file.... and continue to do this??

I would do that yes, But in the meantime what size is the CHD file.  It should be 2,971,451

So I am missing c01jaa11

I think its a CHD file.... after looking for almost an hour I might have to give up on it... i cant seem to find it anywhere...

You have got to be kidding me... how in the world was I supposed to know that the CHD file I got was supposed to be named c01jaa11???

I just decided to change my chd file to the above name and it works.... UGH.

Is there anywhere I can make my life easier for these type of problems?
