His last book was great and this one will feature a number of folks from the hobby as well. I encourage anyone to support efforts like this one.

Sounds like an interesting read for sure!
-
Haha, looks great! I hope they took that cabinet to the beach rather than photoshop it!
-
I love books like this. I'll definitely check it out.
What was his other book about that you had mentioned?

Thanks Hoopz, I'll check that one out too when I can.
-
I bought the other book and it is great. I especially like that there are a few BYOACers mixed and featurettes on a number of vendors.
-
Dude that's pretty cool! I didn't realize there were books like that out there.
I'm going to have to look into that.
-
UPDATE: Gozer is apparently doing the final proofing now ...

Hah... hope it includes the saga of the Meth-trailer Sundance cabinet...

:laugh2:

I hate the cover. Cool book otherwise.

why am I expecting the "goatse" picture to pop up while i'm looking at the cover?!
P.S. - googling "goatse" DEFINITELY NSFW

I agree, the first pic should be the cover. It just needs the colors and contrast enhanced and it needs the people on the right side of the arcade cloned out.

I liked the original shark-on-the-beach cover better.
-
Edit: no need to be snarky I guess... needless to say, not a fan of the cover.
Probably a very cool book though. Wish there was more printed stuff about the hobby.

Wow, a commercial worse than the cover.
-
Same old poop different cover. I must have two books with such similar content, and better pictures.
Not impressed.

That's funny, 'cause I've been working on an outline for a fictional book in which this episode is a significant theme. Along with a few other gems from the hobby that I'll bet most of those who've been around a while can figure out on their own.

When was the last time you were impressed ... with anything other than yourself ?
It is definitely slanted towards collectors and I like that and I like the way that it includes collectors ... some of whom we know ... as part of it.
Other than this, Gozer's previous book and Van's book, I'm not sure which other books you could be talking about. Please share some info.
My order has been placed.

Hey, this history book is full of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- that's already happened! What a ripoff.
For such an educated sot you sound retarded.

Have heard references to this meth-related Sundance cabinet, I finally tracked down the thread on KLOV and spent 2 hours reading it. Damn.

"I can't believe I read the whole thing."
The highlight for me was the owner claiming to have played the machine "about a year ago" while the photos that kicked the thread off (taken 15 months prior) show the establishment thoroughly trashed out with missing doors, broken windows and nothing done.
The game was even working back then! (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showpost.php?p=1415898&postcount=1286)

Just got my copy ... very nice quality as was the last one.
Lots of interesting cabs, including some that I had never seen.
Rikitiki -- that Video Pinball reimagining looks awesome! Would look great beside a Tron and DOT.
As a bonus, among the featured collectors is noice and his collection of Moppets!
-

I should have a video review of it to post soon on my thread here

Just saw on KLOV that the code "FASTBOOK" will get you 25% off (and doesn't cut into the author's share).

Now's the time folks.
You can support those who support our hobby and end up with a cool coffee table book about some really cool cabinets.
I haven't read every page yet, but did feel pangs of pride at owning at least 2 of the grails mentioned.
