It makes sense. For a game the storyline was overly complicated.
It's a car combat game. It just needs cool looking cars and cool weapons.
It doesn't need a back story for each driver or a individual goals and end stories.

I think the problem is this movie should have been made around the same time that the MK movie was made..... you know, when the franchise was it's most popular?
There have already been two or three films in the last couple of years that were essentially twisted metal films without the characters. So for it to make any impact the story would have to be really good and I can't help but snicker even as I'm typing this. The only TM plot that ever made any sense to me was part 2.... after that it became sort of a jumbled mess.
It would make a good movie if done properly... but the guys that are doing the ghost rider sequel are going to make it. Keep in mind that they decided to take the ghost rider, who is a hell-cursed flaming skeleton with a MAGIC BIKE off of his harley and onto a crappy fiberglass rice burner to "make his stunts more believable." That sounds dangerously like Michael Bay logic to me.

Well, you have to admit that it would be difficult for a hell-cursed flaming skeleton to pull off some of those stunts on a Harley. The Harley just yanks you right out of your otherwise in-tact suspension of disbelief.

MK was a movie based on a game, without the game the movie wouldn’t make any sense.
TM was a game based on a movie without the movie. Frankly it didn't make any sense.

They definitely did not strike while the iron was hot... and early reviews for the game reboot seem to be "meh," so I think the series will go on hiatus again for a while.

Can't blame them for not wanting to keep a mechanic on the payroll during filming.
I get that you were making a funny there, but considering 90% of the bike shots are cg or cg enhanced my point was that they should go with whatever bike looked the coolest.

but you dont want a fake looking bike..even though its cgi and fake
something like that.. :dunno

The problem is that ghost Rider's bike is as much a part of the character as cage himself. Through all of his incarinations he's always driven essentially a chopper, because he's supposed to be a "dark hero". Putting him on some fiberglassed, performance pos would be like having the Lone Ranger ride on a donkey.
This is one of the earliest pics of the modern Ghost Rider I could find:

See? Even from the start it was a custom chopper. Those chain trees are iconic to the design and have carried over to a lot of his incarinations. You have a TON of leeway on what type of bike you design for him, but it should always be an older looking chopper because... well that's just what he rides.
The other flaw in logic is that Ghost Rider should be doing traditional, realistic bike stunts. His bike is POSSESSED AND ON FIRE! I'm pretty sure in a couple of the comics they had him drive right up the side of a sky-scraper and in a couple of instances the bike actually flew! And they are worried about how realistic a pathetic stunt like a kick-flip will look?

Is Nick Cage gonna be Ghost Rider again? Cos if so who cares? They could put him in a Radio Flyer and any further degradation to the film would be relatively negligible.
edit: typo

Yea that Ghost Rider film looks really dumb (The first one was just...ok..nothing special) I saw in the trailer some joke about him pissing fire. It was pretty stupid. I will still check it out though, without expecting much.

12% on RT lol..
probably wont even "obtain" it :dunno

I never had you pegged for subtlety, Snaake . . . but that was pretty damned good
