So I was converting a golden tee-silver strike cab to a mame cab ad I ran into a problem. :banghead: I got both my 19 and 26 lcd in. The thing is tho, my viewing angle on the 26 is bad! I tried turning up the back light, then everything looks washed out. So I guess Im trying to see if anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this? Only thing I thought of was move it up as far as I can go and kick in the bottom. Idk if Im going to like that. Or i find another cab that will house my tv or build one.

if it's LCD the viewing angle to the bottom of the display may be bad. could consider running it upside down and see if that's better. If it's a crt, disregard this, I don't really know if they have the same type of view angle issues.

I should have said the top not the bottom. If I get on my toes it looks good. I dont wanna play MK like that haha

How do you have it mounted? LCD viewing angles can be tricky. I bet if you modify the mount, you can get it to look much better by tilting it down a couple of degrees.

I used a wall mount on a piece of wood.

Maybe you can tilt the wall mount? Otherwise you'll have to change the angle of the wood. Before you do that, find the angle you want the monitor to be at and how it relates to the mount.

Advice still applies. try flipping the problem display upside down, lcds are usually good one way and bad the other. In your pic the bottom monitor seems good, the top one seems washed out.

Try what TopJimmy suggests. I've seen that resolve numerous issues with LCDs. The wall mount is nice because you can change the angle on the LCD but the big issue is that the cavity it fits into might become off centered.

Well it was the bottom one I was having probs with. I took your advice and flipped it and it looks great! Thanks so much! Im going to try flip the top one and see if that helps that one. The bottom one was the one i was really worried about. Its going to be cool to play future pinball having the back board right above. If the cab was little wider I could have tried to rotate it. Thanks again everyone for the help!
