Title: Question regarding the J-Pac
Post by: SirPeale on September 23, 2003, 09:26:35 pm
Ever since I got my JAMMA setup working, I've been looking at all kinda of JAMMA info.

I was looking at the J-Pac

I know a lot of people here use it.

Here's my question: since the JAMMA standard is for two joysticks with three buttons each, and a lot of you are using Street Fighter layouts, how are you all puttin in the other three keys?  Or is there something I'm missing about the picture.

Never mind, found what I was looking for:

Didn't think there were enough connectors on the board, but I was wrong.

Yes!  ;)

Look at the J-PAC closer.  It supports the extra buttons through screw terminals like the I-PAC.  In fact, I have one cabinet wired with a J-PAC, but since I initially wired up the cab I removed everything "jamma" about it except the harness and J-PAC.  The J-PAC is exactly like the I-PAC except for the video features and that the player start, joysticks, & first couple of player action buttons are connected via the jamma harness rather than screw terminals.
