Title: JPAC and Monitor power
Post by: Jasonlyvers on February 09, 2012, 11:15:49 pm
I have a WG 25K7917.  The AC power appears to go into a Peter Chou PS, then to the isolation transformer, then to the monitor via a 3 pin molex.  I know the JPAC can't power the monitor, and I know that Ultimarc says you should disconnect the PS completely.
I've read 20 threads on this topic but still can't find an answer - how does the monitor receive power if I disconnect the PS?  I suspect I need to run an AC line directly to the isolation transformer - is this correct?

Yeah, I think you are correct. After my toggle switch the power splits to both the Isolation transformer and the power supply.  I can take some pictures of how mine is wired after work. I have a lot of the same questions though We are supposed to take out the power supply, but what about the grounds in the power bundle? For me the monitor power won't be an issue because it splits off before the power supply and not after.
