Title: Maximus Arcade (Adult Games Filter??)

Hi DeLuSioNal29 and everyone,

As a fellow MA user, I just compiled a new MAME 0.145 build and grabbed the newest catver.ini build.  I imported it into MA. The only reason that I grabbed this was to be able to filter out "Adult" games from the list.  I have kids. 

The question is...how do I filter those games out?  I thought that all I had to do was load the catver.ini and the "Adult" games would be filtered out.  Apparently I was wrong.  Could you provide a bit of advice on how to accomplish this?

some use romlister to remove stuff they don't want from their list.  added bonus is that you can also filter out games your machine can't play, like light gun games if you don't have a light gun.

What's driving me crazy is that this used to work.  If you look under Preferences / Options Tab/ MAME, there is a "Disable Mature Roms" (or something like that) setting. 

I took a look at the default.ini file in the MA preferences folder.  The string looks like this:

DisableChdMame=0
DisableClonesMame=0
DisableMatureMame=1
ShowWorkingMame=0
RescanHistoryMame=0

This would indicate that the switch is on.  I have loaded a current 0.145 DAT file and am also using the latest 0.145 catver.ini file.  I cannot for the life of me figure out what's going on.  I also rescan MAME for changes.  I have tried older dat files and catver files...no change.  I even removed the MAME.lst file from preferences.  No change.

Could somebody try running a test disabling mature roms and see if it takes. 

I would appreciate it. I'm wondering if there is a file or something that is corrupt.

Actually guys, I decided to just use MAME Content Manager (MCM).  It filters all genres out of MAME based on catver.ini.
