Just trying to set up Mala for first time. It's crashing when I get to aleck64 in the mame roms list. Using latest mame/roms/mala.
I can just remove the zip, but is this a known prob? Are there any other roms I need to remove as well? I'm setting up this comp for a friend and obv don't want mala to crash on him when browsing the list.

I had exactly the same problem so in the end just removed the .zip. I also went through my main games list one by one in Mala and encounted no more crashes, so it seems to be just Aleck64 that causes a crash. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem, it was nothing to do with the rom. Try deleting the screengrab for it from your snap folder. The Proteggo snapshot for this rom is (or was at some point anyway) a 1x1 image - which seems to make Mala crash for some reason.

Thanks for the info, I'll check that out, hopefully sometime this year when my monitor gets fixed.

That does make more sense.
It's also the only 1x1 screenshot in my snaps folder so should be no more probs with that image removed.
