Title: Can't get the resolutions right
Post by: sega_mad on February 03, 2012, 06:31:29 am
Firstly...great app  ;D

Thanks for making it available.

I'm not using Groovemame, just normal, standard MAME.

Have installed you ATi driver for my 9600pro. Installiation went well.

When I set the resolution (320 x 240) and I load a game like Street Fighter 2, there is some pixles missing in the Street Fighter text (when it says Street Fighter, right after the Rom check).

I also tried 336 x 240 (I think it was), same problem. At 640 x 480 its fine (but obviously interlaced, and the screen flickers)

I'm guessing I've done something wrong!!

Can you help Calamity

Are you crazy? :) Seriously, give GroovyMAME a spin! You won't turn back, I promise you. Super-smooth scrolling and transitions everywhere you look! None of those droppped frames you get with standard MAME. Once you see how good it is you'll pray that Calamity keeps posting builds of GroovyMAME forever...

As for your missing lines, perhaps it will help if you specify what kind of monitor you're using?

The fact that Street Fighter 2 uses a resolution of 384x224 might have some relation? ;)
