Title: Playstation to JAMMA Video Problems
Post by: meatball on September 23, 2003, 04:41:06 am
I'm making a Playstation to JAMMA converter. I have the controls wired, they are working perfectly. For the video, I've used the output of a Playstation SCART cable with an LM1881 circuit to generate the proper sync (as described in the console section of the PC2JAMMA page).

With the Playstation plugged in, the monitor on my cabinet displays a recognisable picture. However, it is extremely dark. No adjusting of the monitor controls can fix it. Is this likely just a case of bad connections/soldering, or has anyone any other ideas?

The brightness knob is usually on the flyback, real easy to miss.

Also, you might try adding 220uF capacitors to the RGB lines, that helps sometimes.
