So I'm thinking of picking up a dedicated Gauntlet Dark Legacy machine. I'm not overly familiar with the game but I used to play Gauntlet Legends on N64 and remember it being a good game. The biggest concern I have with grabbing this game is that from what I can tell it's a "continue" type game. By that I mean if you die you simply put in another credit and continue from where you died with no real consequences. Basically just a money grab meaning that if I have it at home I'll get bored of it real quick because I find those games pointless especially with unlimited credits.
Now there are some other continue type games such as the ghosts n goblins type where when you die there are consequences that you have to restart the level which makes it a skill type game as well.
Can anyone chime in here and give some opinions on this game either good or bad and if it is a home friendly game with good replay value to it?

Gauntlet DL and all the other Gauntlet games are coin eaters, since you're constantly loosing health, moving, standing, being attacked, etc. The only thing that varies is how much health and how quickly its lost. Adding coins buys more health.
