I'm planning on building one of these. Does anyone have some plans or measurements for this cocktail?
I already found out it has a 32" Widescreen LCD.

is this game out in MAME yet !!!!!!
-
This looks like fun!
-
Nope, only info is this: Pac-Man Battle Royale Cocktail Arcade Game Dimensions :
Height: 90", Width: 35", Length: 45", Weight: 360 Lbs
From here: http://www.bmigaming.com/pacman-mspacman-galaga-commercial.htm (http://www.bmigaming.com/pacman-mspacman-galaga-commercial.htm)
What are you planning to run in there...?
Make sure you document the build!

Does anyone know what arcade NY that has this game I would love to try it Looks awsome! I need this for MAME
-
Good luck, I've been growing fond of the 2>player cocktails since they seem to have really short life spans inthe wild.
I saw it the wild at John's Incredible Pizza in Roseville, CA and at one of the Casinos. Can't quite recall which one. Never got the chance to play either though. :(
-
Odds are that this won't be in MAME for ages. Whoever manages the facebook page for the Pac-Man Battle Royale machine ignores request for this game on other platforms (iOS, xbox live, PSN) and pushes the arcade experience.
Regarding plans...
What is the difference between Battle Royale and Pac-Man CE: DX? Can you get a similar enough experience on CE:DX?

Battle Royale is a 4-player vs game, where all players are Pac-men, while CE: DX is a one-player game, which is sort of a mix of the original with a puzzle game (for high scores, you have to create a chain of ghosts that follow you, which you later eat for extra points). Some of the visual styles in CE:DX (there are several to chose from) look a lot like Battle Royale. CE and CE: DX would be cool in a cab like that, it would just be a one player thing.
-
OK, width 35" (88.9 cm), length 45" (114.3 cm), height 90" (228.6 cm) that includes the "4P vs" sign.
With these measurements and some more pictures I can probably do some guestimates for the other sizes...
When I build this machine I'll probably make a version of the game as well. There are a lot of videos showing the gameplay so I should be able to build something similar. I just have to find someone who can help with the music/sound.

Here's a replica of the service manual, don't know if it'll help.

Thanks Gaaargh :applaud:
Found the service manual online here (http://www.namco.co.uk/PDF-manuals/namco-manuals/PBR_Manual.pdf) and it has some great pictures (with dimensions) in it.

Hey, nice find of that manual, I could see building a table like that sometime, thanks for sharing.

Anybody who enjoys Pac-Man and has access to a PS3 seriously needs to check out CE:DX. Hands down my favorite PS3 title to date; madly addictive.

That's the only place to get it, actually.
I bought it last year for $10, if I recall. Believe me, I've had waaaay more than $10 worth of entertainment from that game.

I saw this game, but not a cocktail, at a Dave & Busters near Philadelphia. You can call one near you and inquire.
It wasn't as awesome as you'd think. You couldn't play long games. You play some matches, heads up stuff, and shortly after it tallies some accomplishments, compares the tallies and its done. Then you can add credits to play more.
It made me wish it was Maze Craze for the Atari 2600. I even have more fun playing Trog. Looks pretty cool though.

I played this game this weekend at the Mall of America, it's really fun with 4 players! This particular machine was set up for 1-4 players on 2 tokens and had 5 rounds. I wish this game was available for PC at least, so we could make some sweet cabs! >:D

Sweet! We are going there in a couple of weeks.
Was it at the movie theater?
-
My guess is it's in the arcade which should be located on the outer path of the amusement ride area and what is now referred to as Nickelodeon Universe (formerly Camp Snoopy), or the very center of the mall on ground level. Would like to know for sure, I will be in the area and might be worth a detour for a round or two of Battle Royale!

+1 this is exactly right! It's in the smaller of the two arcades, to the left of the mens bathroom, to be exact. :afro:
-
I was just there this Saturday. I wish I had known about it. I was too caught up looking at the new ninja turtle ride they are about to open and didn't make it to the arcade. :lol
Was it as insanely busy when you were there? I spent 20 minutes trying to find a parking spot. :hissy:
-
OMG thats funny, I was there all day saturday, more than likely we saw each other and never knew it! I wish I would of known, I would of made a point of meeting up with ya. We got there about 11am, I parked in the first spot I saw, I wasn't about to fight trying to park next to the door. It got pretty busy in the afternoon though, lines were getting too long and my kids were getting impatient. I saw that ninja turtles ride, looks pretty interesting.
-
Haha, yeah no kidding. I don't doubt we crossed paths without knowing it. I got there at about 12:30pm, so I am sure that only added to my parking problems. I guess they were filming a commercial for those dizzy dancer things at the event area of the park, I am sure that only added to the crowd.
-
Where is this Mall of America located? Looks like a fun place to take my grand daughter in a couple of years (She just turned two, so too young now.)

It is the really really really large mall in Bloomington........suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. It really is a fun place, just really really crowded most of the time I have been there. It always helps to drive the 20 mins out of town and visit the indian casino for some adult video/table games after the long day at the mall.
I've always been more partial to the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton, Alberta.....also a fun spot. Haven't been to either in a long time however.

Is that what all that commotion was? I saw some TV cameras, didn't really think twice about it though.

I think you are talking about Mystic Lake casinio. Yeah the mall is in Bloomington, MN. Right across the street from the airport practically.
-
Yep Mystic Lake it is......didn't like how it was 18 and older with no booze served at the tables but it wasn't that bad.
-
Never been there personally, i'm not one to throw away my money(like arcade machines are really any different :lol).

Try a weekday if you can and it's pretty quiet. The newly branded amusement center looks pretty crazy judging from elk's graphic above!

Did anyone take some close up pictures of the cab? I'm looking for some close ups of the control panels, the tiny bezel around the screen and the insert coins artwork.

I seriously thought about it when I was there, but I was with the wife... I could see her now, "Oh no you don't, you aren't building anything else!" :lol

Awesome. Do they have any other decent machines? When we were there last time they didn't have much that you wouldn't see at CEC. They did have a Ms Pac Man/Galaga at the theater.
-
I was looking for some older games, but at the Namco arcade they are all newer games, not a lot of fun really... I did play a jet game with a moving cockpit though, that was kinda cool.
-
Ok. Last thread-jack.
I am going to hit up Rusty Quarters when I'm there. This place looks pretty cool.

Sjaak - I apologize as I forgot to take pictures. It was our last stop after a long day and I completely forgot.
The game is great though. My kids kept telling me I need to build one as we were playing.

Your kids (and you) are in luck, i started working on detailed blueprints today. I'm starting a topic in project announcements soon.
And I will also be creating a pc version of the game.
