Title: mame 134 to 144
Post by: ccmathome on January 29, 2012, 03:29:59 am
So I've been on 134 since launch and never bothered to update, I just rebuilt my htpc from an atom 330 to my old intel dual core and wanting to run mame on it, would it be worth updating to 144 for HLSL(32" lcd) or should i stick to 134 with mame plus and use hq3x?

I wouldn't bother updating until something interesting comes out.

Unless you like crappy Mahjong bootlegs.   ::)

For me, I only update for the following three scenarios:

Given that, I would probably update if I was looking to try out HLSL features.  (You can always test it out separately to see if it's worth the trouble before committing.)

You can go here to see what has been introduced or fixed in specific versions: http://mamedev.org/devwiki/index.php/Previous_MAME_Versions (http://mamedev.org/devwiki/index.php/Previous_MAME_Versions)
