Title: How to connect TV to computer
Post by: cclaeys on September 22, 2003, 06:38:23 pm
My dilemna is this. I have the opportunity to buy a Sony Trinitron kv-25XBR tv, it has an RGB input on it that should make this thing an arcade monitor(so to speak). It doesnt have an S Video in on it, only composite and the aforementioned 34 pin connector.

That being said, how do I interface with this to get the optimal results? I have an Radeon 9000, but I am not sure what the output frequency is or whether I could convert the signal...I am sure there are other options, I just have brain lock at the moment. I could build something to work with Arcade VGA for this couldn't I?

I have searched the previous messages and found 1 person with this dilemna, but there was no real resolution.

Any help is appreciated.

Chris

I have a KV25XBR in my garage.  It's about 19 years old.  It died.  Repairman said it's not even worth opening it to fix it.  No parts, etc.

Be careful how old it is.

I bought it from a guy that repairs televisions, $50 at least worth a shot.

As long as I can find a solution that will be flexible enough to drop something in should anything happen I will be fine. Problem is finding out how to rig it up.
