Title: Dragon's Lair 2: Time Warp (Blu-Ray) for use with Daphne...anybody convert it?
Post by: journeyfan1977 on January 28, 2012, 12:08:46 pm
So I figured out how to use some converted files taken from Dragon's Lair HD for PC and Space Ace HD for PC and they look amazing thru Daphne!
Now all I need is to get Dragon's Lair 2: Time Warp converted as well. The problem is that TW was only released in HD on Blu-Ray and I don't currently have a Blu-Ray drive for PC. So my question is, is there anybody here running an HD version of Time Warp on their setup? I just wanna see how difficult and time consuming it would be. Please PM me if you can help me out.

I told you this via PM a few weeks ago.  Obviously you have no Blue Ray player in your PC and you are looking for the converted video.  YOU HAVE TO DO THIS YOURSELF.

Grap a copy off Ebay ($8.00 for the BR version, remember?) and use tmpgenc to convert it, and then may use DVD2Daph if it accepts it.

Like I said, there is no real difference between the DVD version and the BR release of DL2.  Nice noticeable differences in Space Ace HD than 83, but with regards to DL2, zip.

I have done a few samples and it wasn't worth the hassle, but if you want to try it out then get a BR Player for the PC, look for the free version of TMPGENC and convert it.

You have to separate the video from the audio, make sure you convert the video to m2v and then the audio to ogg vorbis.

You will have to make several versions of the capture as Daphne doesn't really support High Definition.

I would say go and ask the Daphne-devs, but I bet they wouldn't be interested in anything that has already been done.

Good luck!
