OK, so it is nearing tax season, which means I have a temp night job scanning documents at an accounting firm. Good news is I can listen to podcasts, etc. as much as I want. Currently my must-listens are:
Player One Podcast
Giant Bombcast
Weekend Confirmed
Retronauts
TWIT
and occasionally...
The Joystiq Show
NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me
Cagcast (cheap ass gamer)
anyone have other suggestions on some good time-killing shows to listen to? Humor and retro gaming talk get bonus points.

Skeptoid
It has some interesting topics that I hadn't heard about before.
Such as....Korean fan death:

You should listen to the -Arcade repair tips podcast, also try the Gameroom junkies podcast. You can find both on Itunes.
-
Going away from the arcade side - I really enjoy and recommend short/true story based podcasts like the Moth and Risk! The moth ones are only 15 minutes or so, but if you put them in a playlist it's not too annoying.
-
Radio lab is good, good stories and sort of science-ish. This American life is good. If you are interested in brewing beer, basic brewing radio is good

If you like Comics you should checkout iFanboy, though they'll also discuss other stuff like Movies/TV/Games when comic related.

Yeah, TRS is great, love those guys, I tend to watch more than listen though.
How's that temp job pay? I want a 3D TV.
Eh, like $8 an hour when I started. Somehow I managed to promoted to a full time job at twice that, quit, and they still keep me on at that higher rate for temp work during tax season. Not sure how it happened but I am not complaining!

If you want to try audio books I highly recommend Audible.com.

Judge John Hodgeman can be pretty funny

Have you considered audiobooks? When I had a job that involved a lot of commuting I got a subscription to Audible and absolutely loved it. I was going to school full time and working full time, so I hadn't read a book for fun in months. Once I started audiobooks I was burning through a book about every two weeks. Once I quit that job and was no longer spending lots of time alone on the road I had to cancel the subscription. I miss it, though.
-
Yeah, at my last job, I listened to a LOT of books. The Dark Tower series is best experienced via audiobook. Frank Muller and George Guidall are two of the best readers.

The free trials to audible.com have saved my butt... I moved from CA to IN (for the 2nd time) a couple years back and had to drive solo... listening to novels kept me sane.
Thanks again all for the recommendations!
